MSD Innovation Factory – Global Winners

We were selected out of hundreds of companies worldwide to work in partnership with MSD Lebanon to co-create a solution to some of the challenges Lebanese oncologists face.

2017

Finalist – C3 Prize

We were finalists in the Astellas C3 prize and attended and presented at the world cancer leadership summit in Mexico City. The C3 Prize is a global challenge designed to inspire innovative non-treatment ideas that may improve the lives of cancer patients, caregivers, and their loved ones.

Enterprise Ireland – Access Silicon Valley Programme 

Selected to travel to San Francisco as part of the Access Silicon Valley Programme in June of 2015. Here we worked with mentors and experienced entrepreneurs to meet with specialists and VC’s in our space.

Eoin O’Carroll

Eoin recently finished a Masters in E-business in UCC and received a 1st class honors. ONCOassist™ developed as part of his master’s project with Kevin Bambury. Since then Eoin has been developing and refining the application to the needs of the Oncologists and has been increasing his knowledge of the medical app market and other business skill sets.
Prior to this he worked as a Civil Engineer where he developed a large organizational skill base, which was key in the completion of high pressure, time constraint projects.

Kevin Bambury

Kevin recently graduated from the Masters of Electronic Business in UCC with a 1st class honours degree. He has previous experience working in start-ups as the co-founder of Dingadeal.com and having worked with Sigojoven.com in Spain. He worked with AIB in Brand Management and marketing focusing on the area of sponsorships. He managed AIBs sponsorship of the GAA club championships in 2007. Prior to this he studied a BA in English and Geography and a Higher Diploma in Management and Marketing.

Richard Bambury

Richard is a consultant medical oncologist at Cork University Hospital (CUH), Ireland. He is heavily involved in patient care and academic research. He completed a fellowship in Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in NYC. He is the recipient of numerous awards including the Ainsworth Scholarship in 2012, the John Quale Travel fellowship in 2013 and was a lead co-investigator on a Prostate Cancer Foundation-Movember Challenge Award worth $1 million in 2014. In his career to date, he has presented over 40 original research abstracts at national and international oncology conferences including ESMO, ASCO and ASCO GU

Mike Cosgrove

Mike has a 1st Class Honors Master of Computer Science degree from University College Cork as well as a PostGrad Dip. in Mathematics and a B.Sc.(Hons) in Electronics. Mike is developing new features for the ONCOassist mobile app ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Previously Mike worked in Aerospace and Military regulated environments within the Electronics Industry. His experience included leading a team and managing an engineering department of a U.S. OEM and roles contributing as a senior engineer in software development, test, and requirements.

Jeff McBride

Jeff McBride is a subject matter expert in Software Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs for the medical technologies and healthcare sectors. He has worked in this area for over 30 years and is an acknowledged key opinion leader in ensuring that Software Development is completed in a compliant manner. In addition, he has actively worked with start up medical technology companies to ensure that research carried out in this area can be successfully transitioned into the commercial environment without the need to revalidate research work.

Felix has 1st class honours Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from College of Engineering, Trivandrum. He has 5 years of industry experience in developing iOS applications. He is currently developing new features for the ONCOassist mobile app. Prior to working at ONCOassist, he worked at QBurst technologies as an iOS developer.

Renita has a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Biomedical Engineering from TKM Institute of Technology, Kollam. She started her career as a Customer Success Associate and then to a Customer Success Manager at Stasis Labs. She has also demonstrated a flair in marketing. Her vision is to improve the quality of care given to patients by the use of innovative technologies in the healthcare space.
